Kids' WB is exiting stage right.

4Kids will be taking over the CW's Saturday Morning timeslots (as they have done with Fox) starting in September of 2008.

I am saddened that this has come to be. 4Kids and Kids WB lost Pokemon to Cartoon Network when Pokemon USA took over and fired the 4Kids voice cast replacing them with their own. Now, a lot of Hollywood VAs (not to mention producers, directors, production people and others) are losing their jobs. The quality of network TV kids shows have gone downhill since the late 1980's when The Smurfs left the airwaves, plus the increased amount of cable outlets like Nickelodeon/NickToons/Noggin, Cartoon Network and the dreck on Jetix/Toon Disney/Disney Channel/ABC Kids ("Consumer Lifestyle" my Image!) has forced networks like CBS and NBC to lease out their "E/I" crud to others. Kids WB was the last man standing, and after this September will be no mas. Weekday daytime TV for children died on December 31, 2005, and in September, weekend TV for kids as we knew it will fade to black.

So that explains why haven't had too many calls for animation gigs- the few I got were with TMNT and one video game. And I thought the economy was just going down the tubes!
