My name is Susan and I'm new to voice acting. I was a computer software developer for the last 28 years and my job moved to another country.
So now I am trying for a new career doing Voice Over work, something I've always been interested in and I'm ready and rearing to go.
I've had some training with the VoicesForAll group. They helped me get some demos set up and provided information on getting my home studio equipment. I'm currently taking some classes with DelMarMediaArts and they are alot of fun and are giving me some good information.
I found a only a couple of these sites/forums that look like real people are on them. I'm also on VO-BB but I haven't really said anything yet. Just reading peoples posts.
I can't wait to actually do some voice over work. Anyone have any suggestions on where I should look?
Currently I'm volunteering at my local Library reading books to children during the Grandparents and Books hour. It is a lot of fun, kids love to hear stories.
Any suggestions would be welcomed. Susan |

I wouldn't deal with VO-BB. Got thrown off after only one post. I would not be surprised if the, hm, czar is just as snitty and flippant as the Untouchables or any other 'talent!' |
