I am researching an encyclopedia of network TV announcers and have had some problems identifying the voices that used to open the old Warner Brothers TV shows of the 50's and early 60's and in particular 77 Sunset Strip, The Roaring 20's, Bourbon Street Beat and Cheyene.

Most likely they were frequently used commercial voices of that era. Ones that I do know are Ed Reimers doing the first 3 seasons of Maverick and Dick Tufeld announcing Surfside 6, Hawaiian Eye and Room for One More.

The announcers on those shows would always introduce the cast and declare, over a long shot of the Warner Brothers lot, that this is a Warner Brothers Television Production. They probably also did the sponsor billboards, but I don't have access to air masters to know.

I have created a series of audio clips of the voices in question which I can e-mail out.

I went thru quite a few old files of Warner Brothers that are stored over at USC but found no info.

Thanks!!!!
