As part of their Subscription Series, the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra will present Looney Tunage, a concert/multi-media screening/panel discussion and presentation of cartoon scores from the 1930s to the 1990s. The concert will feature scores from legendary composers in animation, such as Carl Stalling (Looney Toons), Scott Bradley (Tom & Jerry), and Richard Stone (Animaniacs). Music cues will be played in conjunction with a viewing of the original animation, as well as added sound effects and voice talent.

Veteran voice actor Rob Paulsen will lend his voice to the presentation as Yakko Warner and Pinky for the Animaniacs portion of the concert, and will be joined by Steve and Julie Bernstein, composers/orchestrators of Animaniacs.

Author and cartoon music expert Dr. Daniel Goldmark will host the program and lead discussion during the performance.

Looney Tunage will be presented May 14th & 15th, 2010 at 8:00 pm at the Notre Dame Academy’s Frances K. Carlisle Performing Arts Center in Covington, Kentucky. Ticket prices range from $10.00 to $28.00.
