Scuse me if I've put this is in the wrong category, sometimes its hard to tell where to post what. ^^;

There has been a question that's been bothering my mind for a short while. Hypothetically, if one had the funds to do so, would it be possible to hire the voice talent of a professional VA for an independent project? What sorts of red tape might one have to expect?

Reason I'm asking is that I'd love to have one of my favourite VAs (Ted Lewis) do a one or two-liner in my indie animated movie that's currently in progress, but have no idea how to go about it, or even if its a plausible venture.

I figure its easier for certain pros than others, what with some possibly being contractually tied to specific companies and such.
